AFT or STARBOARD for Italy & misc ports?

We'll be sailing on the NCL Jade 10/24/10 out of Barcelona....which side of the ship is best for seeing the sites when coming into and leaving a port? We'll be going to Monte Carlo, Livorno, Rome (Citav...) Naples & Palma de Mallorca. Still trying to decide on cabin location.

Any advice?

Doesn't really make any difference.

First of all, an orienation: starboard is right, port is left, Forward is forward, aft is the rear.

Second; When you come into port you will probably be asleep - you will travel between ports at night.

Third; When you dock you might find that you pull straight in; or you might turn around and back ito the dock, (in any case, if you're up, what you see coming in will be different than what you see going out, in all probabiity.)

Pick where you want to be on the ship (aft, mid, or forward.) Don't worry about port or starboard.
