dnrcim Posted March 22, 2010 #1 Share Posted March 22, 2010 I apologize if this has been asked before; I couldn't find it on the boards. My children will be 8 and 5 when we travel this summer. They both are able to print their names. Should I have them print their names on their passports or should I sign their names? I wasn't sure what to do...Thanks in advance for your help. momof4boys Posted March 22, 2010 #2 Share Posted March 22, 2010 I had my two children print their name on their passports. No one ever quetioned it and a couple of times the customs officer commented on how nice the signature looked.
realmccoy Posted March 22, 2010 #3 Share Posted March 22, 2010 Yes, they print or sign their names.

ShedQueen77 Posted March 22, 2010 #5 Share Posted March 22, 2010 If your child is too young to sign, the parent prints the child's name and signs next to it. http://travel.state.gov/passport/fri/faq/faq_1741.html#child23
Havingfun2010 Posted March 22, 2010 #6 Share Posted March 22, 2010 If they are old enough to print, than they can do it themselves. It is only good for 5 years anyway for a kid's passport, so when you renew, they will be both old enough to have a "real" signature!
