Himself Posted March 22, 2010 #2 Share Posted March 22, 2010 The Statendam will be at one of my favorite stops. The first time I was on the Island of Curacao, it was the Statendam that brought me there. That was in November of 1997. By the way, thank you for letting us know where the fleet will be on Monday March 22, 2010.
WisconsinFan Posted March 22, 2010 #3 Share Posted March 22, 2010 This is kind of fun. Just stumbled upon it. My folks are on the Zaandam returning from an excellent trip.
Himself Posted March 22, 2010 #4 Share Posted March 22, 2010 that is one long ride back. I have done it twice. The ride out can be rough the first day out but the time flies in anticipation of Hawaii. However the ride back seems sooooo long, because one is returning from a piece of Paradise. I hope they had many fond memories of Hawaii. I know I do still have them and some day, God willing, I will go again.
WisconsinFan Posted March 22, 2010 #5 Share Posted March 22, 2010 That is what they told us via email, the first few days out were rough! They have really enjoyed the cruise so far. Can't wait to see the photos.
Himself Posted March 23, 2010 #6 Share Posted March 23, 2010 When I did it in October of 08, the first full day was really rough. It calmed down by the second day and the next two days were delightful. Of course the days in Hawaii were most delightful. As we were returning I overheard someone talking about how rough the first four days were. It was actually one day that was rough--but not that rough.
