Just returned from first cruise and have questions

Royal and Celebrity do not allow smoking in cabins.

When tendering with Princess, passengers who do not have a ship tour and are not either Elite in their Captain's Circle or in a suite, have to get a ticket for the tender. Getting back on can be a problem, especially with today large ships.

On both of our Princess cruises they DID give numbers but people who "always" cruise Princess knew the numbers mean NOTHING. They were NEVER asked for or looked at. We wondered why we kept sitting in the lounge waiting for our numbers when people walked up with their numbers, stood and waited for the next call and left. Then, we realized all of us waiting were new to Princess. We were used to waiting for our number and having smooth tender loading but it was not so.

Sorry you waited in long lines.

We are cruising Celebrity for the first time this fall and I'm looking forward to their tight NONsmoking.........even on the verandahs. YEA!! Smoking has never been a problem on the line we usually use, HAL.:)

Hope your next cruise is much better.............I keep wondering just HOW embarking/disembarking/tendering CAN go smoothly with 4,000 passengers but I guess they have some good ideas/procedures.

I call BS on this post. Again, cigarette smoke is NOT an allergen. It is an irritant.

:eek:Gosh..........who made you king or queen of medical terms/diagnoses? Hopefully you could walk in the shoes of the person with the severe allergies..................or in MY shoes when I spent just one hour in the casino and realized my problems.................which lasted over a full week.

Sorry you can't understand that people DO have severe problems with cigarette smoke; we've been unable to use our verandah due to our neighbors' smoking and I've read about THAT often on these boards...........and are looking forward to our (first time on) Celebrity cruise this fall.
