Formal Nights

I know it is in the FAQs on Carnival and am fairly certain it is the same for all ships. It is usually the first sea day (day after you embark) and the second to last day. For instance, we just got off a Sunday to Sunday cruise. Our first formal was Monday and last one was Friday. Saturday we were packing and not wanting to shove a ball gown in a carry on LOL

people still wear ball gowns to elegant night?
