Serenity Adults 21+

Kids don't sit in chairs long enough to be hogs.......

No, but the chair hog ratio mostly rises with age.

Most of the chair hogs I have seen are either parents with kids, or 50+.

Just my observation..................

On Fantasy last year it was strictly enforced. Very nice back there. Hope it's the same on Fascination this year. I love kids have 4 kids and 2 step kids of my own but when I am in the adult area I don't want to deal with kids or teens. They have the rest of the ship to play, they don't need to be there.

The rule is 21 if they allow a 20yr old then next thing you have 19 yr olds saying well I'm legally an adult, 18 yr olds and it's all down hill from there. An age has to be set and enforced without exceptions being made just like in the casino at the bars etc. It's 21 so that is where the cut off is. Don't worry in another year you'll be old enough to use it for the rest of your life. Not a big deal.

Snarky posts with your wife's account?!:rolleyes:Tsk.

My DS is 19 and shares Courtney's view about small children. He plans to join us in that area. You know if 18 is good enough to get in the casino, it ought to be good enough to sit in the adults area.....

Im 19 and I go to the Serenity area no problem. IMO as long as you aren't running around acting like a twirp and look to be of age you shouldnt have a problem with fellow guests or Carnival personnel :)

I believe this is as it should be -- judge the individual based on their behavior, not an arbitrary age (within reason) -- an 18+ year old who carries themselves and conducts themselves in a way that respects the intention of the Serenity deck should be welcome. That being said, the cruise line chose to draw the line at 21+, so anyone 18-20 who finds themselves there should play it very cool (and will probably go unnoticed.)

Got your attention...didn't I.

I know that on most converted top optional decks, that are now adult only, top optional is still not a problem.

Is this a problem on these decks?

I'm not aware of any signs or rules that this is not allowed.

I would think that as long as it's restriced to 21 & over & there's some type of privacy from other decks, this would not be a problem.

I'm sure the pre-pubescent boys playing mini-putt on the deck above would say it wasn't a problem at all.
