hdawson Posted March 23, 2010 #2 Share Posted March 23, 2010 If you continue reading the board you will see that I (and alot of others) recommend le Saint Bonnet. The whole, deep fried snapper is great @ about $7.50. Soooo fresh. Super staff and accros the street from the beach. Some will suggest Buddy's or the Flamingo. Note: Texmex is not typical Mexican cuisine.
Sargent_Schultz Posted March 26, 2010 #3 Share Posted March 26, 2010 The menu (2007) from le Saint Bonnet can be found on this page. Before having a heart attack, realize that the prices in the main are in pesos (you can pay in dollars). The other menu is US dollars. http://www.zydecocruiser.com/fantasy_c_07/progreso/p2.htm and some more here: http://www.zydecocruiser.com/fantasy_c_07/progreso/p3.htm

jgmpuma Posted March 26, 2010 #6 Share Posted March 26, 2010 Ditto on Saint Bonnet. Besides the usual Tex-Mex, they offer some exotica (octopus, etc.) and Yucutan specialties. We had decided on Saint Bonnet after studying the sargent's postings, and it was terrific. We ate and drank like fools and the bill, with tip, was about $50. The waitress even humored me by letting me use my high school Spanish.
