heylu Posted May 29, 2004 #1 Share Posted May 29, 2004 What is the norm for tipping on excursions? Bus driver, tour guide, etc?
rangerdog Posted May 29, 2004 #2 Share Posted May 29, 2004 Our tips for our excursions was not included. So, we tipped our tour bus driver after our trip. I believe that some excursions include tip, so you would just need to check into your excursion and see if it includes tips or not. We took the airboat tour in Costa Maya. Rick R Posted May 29, 2004 #3 Share Posted May 29, 2004 It depends on the price of the tour. If it is a personal tour ,one couple and one guide, it would be more. How much time it takes and how good a job they do. It's hard to just give an amount. Rick R.
DUBIDUB2 Posted May 29, 2004 #4 Share Posted May 29, 2004 Depends where you are cruising? Some countries tips are not expected and some others it's an insult. In many countries, tour guides etc., are paid a real good wage and tipping is a bonus and not part of their "salary"....
heylu Posted May 29, 2004 Author #5 Share Posted May 29, 2004 Ok, it will be in Jamaica, Grand Cayman, and Cozumel. Do you give them $2,$5, $10 per person, or couple, or a percentage of what the actual excursion cost?
