CAforever Posted April 7, 2010 #2 Share Posted April 7, 2010 It's was a nice ride into Paris as the flax fields in the spring were a brilliant yellow. The tour bus (ship tour) parked by the Eiffel Tower and we cruised the Seine from right there. The Louvre had long lines and you might not have time to see much. I will never miss a chance to see Paris, even for a short visit.
papabf Posted April 11, 2010 #3 Share Posted April 11, 2010 On our trip we were fortunate to be traveling with someone that knew how to use the rail system. We took the train to Paris. While in Paris we used the subway. There were subway stations very close to the Louvre and Eiffel tower. This was a quick way for us to get around. It was very efficient. If you can read subway maps it will be very easy for you. It helps if you can figure out signs that are in French. It was an exciting adventure. Be bold in asking for directions and go. Have fun.
