NYCchic Posted January 25, 2005 #1 Share Posted January 25, 2005 Hi - I'm really torn between Soto's and Capt. Bryan's for the Stingray / Snorkel tour. It's not even for me - it's for my boyfriend. I'm hitting Seven Mile Beach while he goes on one of these tours. They both sound great. We just can't decide which one to book. And advice on who is better? THANKS!:)
zydecocruiser Posted January 26, 2005 #2 Share Posted January 26, 2005 One is a powerboat, the other is a catamaran. Toss a coin and pick one. I like Soto's but am going with Nativeway next time because their schedule fits my schedule better. Once again, here are some pics, mostly from my Soto's trip last November - they have since shortened the tour from 3 stops to 2 stops, but will be similar. Also, the water was rough that day - ALL of the ship tours to Stingray City were cancelled. zydecocruiser's Album:Conquest 11/7/04 Zydeco Cruise Click on the link above to view the 118 pictures in this album. creempuff0530 Posted January 26, 2005 #3 Share Posted January 26, 2005 I chose Soto's for my cruise in April because the time they had fit in better with my plans. I don't think you can really go wrong with any of the tours. Great pics Zydeco! Now I'm even more excited about going

zydecocruiser Posted January 27, 2005 #5 Share Posted January 27, 2005 Thanks and thanks. I use a discontinued Canon S230 digital with waterproof case. It is about 3.2 megapixels and only a 2x optical zoom. I usually post process underwater photos for color adjustment with Adobe Photoshop Elements (let it auto-fix). If I actually knew what I was doing, they would be better. The current lineup is here: http://consumer.usa.canon.com/ir/co...fcategoryid=113 Compatible cases: http://consumer.usa.canon.com/ir/co...nderwater_photo {amazon and many other places have better prices and Canon isn't the only manufacturer to offer such products.}

zydecocruiser Posted January 30, 2005 #7 Share Posted January 30, 2005 Thank you - sometimes I get lucky with pictures - if you take enough, the odds are some will be good. :D I really don't think you can go wrong with any of the usual suspects for stingray city tours. For the most part, they all go to the same places.
