graciallen Posted March 29, 2010 #1 Share Posted March 29, 2010 If you have a pre and post hotel stay booked with your cruise package and cancel your cruise within the 100% refund time span, is your hotel package also refunded 100%. (ie are they separate entities?)

travelntreats Posted March 30, 2010 #6 Share Posted March 30, 2010 If you have not paid in full and are before the date of final payment due to the cruiseline when cancellation penalties would have kicked in, you would be eligible for a full refund from Princess of all deposits/payments already made. You should not have had to pay for the hotel accommodations in advance as it is part of your total package. If you booked with a TA, there is always a chance that they have a cancellation fee that you should have been advised of before booking with them. graciallen Posted March 30, 2010 Author #7 Share Posted March 30, 2010 Thanks for the replies. Wish there rules were a little more generous when booking the pre and post pack. ie: 1 night pre and 3 nights post had to be booked as two separate bookings so no break on the rate if it was all together as 4 nights. :( Oh well live and learn. seb530 Posted March 30, 2010 #8 Share Posted March 30, 2010 Count yourself lucky. I just wish that in the UK we could cancel and not lose our deposit. As soon as you book... thats it... no refund of deposit! (10% of fare)

graciallen Posted April 2, 2010 Author #10 Share Posted April 2, 2010 Wow certainly not conducive to "impulse cruising" :) Definately puts the pressure on to make sure come heck or high water you will be on that ship. Did they do this to keep the companies fiscally afloat?? Does it include mainstream cruise lines ie Princess, HAL??
