Question for Mr. Barbados

We'll be cruising in two weeks with a stop in Barbados. My question is where's the best beach south of Bridgetown. It's has to have a beach bar on it. We have been to Payne's Bay and Bomba's a number of times but wish to try somewhere on the south side of the island this time instead of the usual west side. Any recommendations?

Why don't you try The Boatyard -- it has everything you are looking for.

I have thought about the Boatyard but it sounds like it has too much. I'm hoping for a place a little more laid back. Still open to suggestions though.

Hello all !!

There is also a beach called Accra and on the south end of it is a nice restaurant called Sugar Reef. They also have chairs and a nice bar and a sweet lunch available to all on a lovely stretch of beach where if the day is good and the sea is nice and calm( providing you are a reasonably good swimmer) there is also a beautiful man made reef you can snorkel on and sometimes there is a few small waves you and you can rent a boogie ( body) board and enjoy those also.

So Remember ACCRA BEACH and SUGAR REEF on the south side of the beach and that is if you are facing the sea it will be on the far left side.

When i was there i must say the bajan food was amazing there and lets not say about the desserts. mmm... mmm..... good. and the price was not too bad either.

If you do try my idea please let me know what you think .
