thebreeze82 Posted April 3, 2010 #1 Share Posted April 3, 2010 Thew wife and I will be in Barbados in May. We are looking for a good beach, we don't need all the water sports, just water and sand, any maybe a place to grab a bite to eat and a drink. We have heard that Accra is good. Any suggestions? What should I expect to pay for a cab to Accra and what about expenses once we get there? Thanks!
Vicki22 Posted April 4, 2010 #2 Share Posted April 4, 2010 Accra was beautiful-- the cab ride was $6.50 each way.
dz63 Posted April 7, 2010 #3 Share Posted April 7, 2010 We were on a tour of Barbados that took us to Accra/Rockley Beach. Accra Beach was gorgeous. Nice turquoise-colored water, moderate rolling waves, soft, powdery sand and plenty of shade offered by the casuarina and sea-grape trees. Rockley Beach Beautiful turquoise water There is a boardwalk at the far right side of the beach. DH and I walked down it a little way. Presently it is about 1 mile in length and is still being extended. There are craft and food kiosks right on the beach and a Chefette fast food chain is located across the street. (We did not purchase any food or drinks at Rockley Beach, so I cannot comment on the cost of this). Food Kiosks on the Beach If you are interested, please feel free to check out my YouTube video of our tour in Barbados. You will see more photos and video clips of Accra/Rockley Beach in here too!
