Prepay Gratuities?

We are travelling as a group (15 of us)! Is there a way to prepay gratuities for the group. Thanks!:o

Yes, all you have to do is to call Princess and purchase shipboard credit in the amount of the gratuities for each passenger. This will show as a credit on everyone's shipboard account when you board, and each day when the daily hotel charge is added to their account, it will be taken from this credit. No problem at all.

Unlike some other cruiselines, Princess does not allow gratuities to be prepaid. Some large Travel Agencies with a large group (eg AA, Amex) are able to include the gratuities in the fare they charge.

 

As I undertand it, the approach suggested by Toto2Kansas will place the amount in your shipboard account but it will not be "set aside" for gratuities. So if you charge a bottle of wine or bar drinks or an excursion, these will get deducted on a first charged first deducted basis from the amount pre-placed in your shipboard account. The gratuities are charged daily. But the method suggested will at least make everyone pay an amount that totals the gratuity.
