triumph from new orleans or valor from miami?

hi, wifer and I would love to do a cruise in september which will be our second cruise.

 

we like to check out the departure ports and really enjoyed long beach when we sailed on splendor this past february.

 

we are torn between a 7 day on valor from miami or a 5 day on triumph from new orleans. this way we get to do a mini vegas at harrah`s in new orleans and I am sure new orleans would be a great place to spend a couple of days.

I would vote Valor out of Miami... :)

 

And then go to New Orleans for an extended weekend some other part of the year! :D

Sailing out of Miami is unique in that your ship like a resort on the strip at Miami Beach and sometime late afternoon your resort pulls away and goes out to sea. Way cool.

It sort of sounds like you already have your mind made up with wanting to sail out of New Orleans so you might want to go ahead and sail on the Triumph. Of course, I am partial to the Valor since I have been on that ship but remember, there are casinos on board the ships so you wouldn't necessarily have to spend any time at the land based casinos. Your call though. Just get yourself on a cruise!! :D:p

Just got off the Triumph last weekend out of New Orleans and was on the Valor last year. Both are nice ships. I would always choose 7 days over 5 any time though. If you go to New Orleans, be prepared for some rocking on the Mississippi River for about 6 hours going and coming. However, the casino opens up immediately after the muster drill cause of gaming laws on the river. Enjoy whatever you choose! :)

I love cruising out of NO and did so in September but would choose a 7 night cruise over a 5 and 2 lol or you can fly in one day early into NO and cruise the 7 night out of there. We did a b2b 4 and 5 and flew in the day before and spent the night life in NO the night before.
