We'll be on the Pride in June. I know I can reserve in advance online. Is my credit card charged when I make the advanced reservation or on the ship?

It won't ask you for a credit card number. You're just requesting them to save the time/date you prefer and then they charge it to your dail and sign. That also gives you the option to cancel if necessary.

If you are talking about the specialty restaurant that cost 30 dollars per person, then you do not get charged until you sign the bill on the ship.
