New Ship?

My family is looking at options for a cruise in June/July 2011. There dosent appear to be a ship in NOLA after April.?. Does anyone know if a new ship in coming?

The Carnival Triumph is in New Orleans year round alternating 4, 5 & 7 night cruises. They have two 7 day itineraries - one to East Caribbean, one to West.

 

The NCL Spirit leaves for Boston this week, but it will return and stay in New Orleans starting in Nov. It has 7 night cruises.

Several Carnival ships have no sailings posted after Apr 2011 including Triumph. Carnival is probably about the shuffle the deck again.

Actually I just checked and they show the Triumph through Sept. 2011, so there should be two options: the NCL Spirit & the Carnival Triumph.

 

I also saw that they are relocating the Fantasy to South Carolina. This ship was here until last fall.

 

The local newspaper, the Times-Picayune, said months ago that Carnival was considering going back to having two ships here - one for 7 night and one for shorter. I hope so - we need some options.
