Question about adding someone to your cabin?

Recommended Posts

My husband & I are booked for a 9 night on VOS 9/24 & now our 8 year old son has now decided he wants to go. I e-mailed cruisequick who we booked with but got an e-mail back that they don't have any triple availability. They only have suites available for this cruise.
Has anyone had a similar situation? If so did it open up? I didn't know if I should wait it out or think about booking a different cruise before any cxl penalties go into effect in mid-july.

Any suggestions?

Been there

If you absolutely like the itinerary and have to take THIS cruise, then invite one of your son's friend to sail along, book another cabin and request connecting cabins.

If that is too much trouble then drop this cruise

Good luck

We had originaly booked a cruise for just my DH and I four years ago. We decided to bring along our daughter and at first there were no triples open. Luckily, just as we were ready to make the final payment, some became avaliable. If there still had been none, we would have cancelled before final payment and rebooked for a later date.
If you really want to go on this cruise, I would wait till just before the final payment is due to see if a triple opens up! Chances are, some will!

The quad cabins fill up very quickly. If you call rccl at 8 am whatever cabins that people had on hold werent paid by days end the day before will come available. Travel agents dont start that early so its easier for the general public to get. That is how I did it, 1 800 327-6700.

Don't rely on the info your TA gives you. Check the RCCL website daily to see what might become available, then put a hold on the stateroom, call your TA and have her take the reservation over. Early morning is best!

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I guess I'll wait it out a bit & keep checking. I really like this itinerary, it's the first time I'm booking for more then a seven day cruise so I would hate to book something else. It has three stops I've never been before. But on the other hand... anyone w/ kids must know how guilty you would feel to call home & hear your child crying on the other line from grandma & grandpas because they miss you... Oh well, things could be worse... They could wish you were never coming home.... LOL

We just went on the NCL Dawn in November & that was exactly the case. Plus everytime I saw things for kids on the ship all I could think of was how much our son would have enjoyed it.

Thanks again everyone, hopefully something will open up......
