worry wart Posted April 9, 2010 #1 Share Posted April 9, 2010 We are going to be in Cozumel for the whole day and evening and would like to go out to San Gervasio ruins and later on into town. Is it fairly easy to get a taxi to take you out and wait for you and bring you back to ship? What does it cost and if we were 8 in a group would we be able to get a bus type taxi or not? Don't really want to take a private tour because we are spending money to do that in Jamaica beforehand and also some people don't want to go to the ruins in our group but want to go with us into town later in the day. Those are the only two things we are interested in doing this time around and feel we can go to town on our own. Just need a driver to take us to ruins and back. Also do we need to tip the taxi driver for waiting for us or is it all inclusive in the price? Thanks.
fromRdg Posted April 20, 2010 #2 Share Posted April 20, 2010 We did that exact thing two years ago. The cab driver took us to San Gervasio, waited for us to spend all the time we wished and then took us into town and dropped us off. I believe the total cab cost was around $40. worry wart Posted April 20, 2010 Author #3 Share Posted April 20, 2010 Thanks. Was hoping it was that easy and hope we can get one for a large group as well, if needed.
MrCo9 Posted April 21, 2010 #4 Share Posted April 21, 2010 You'll want one of the vans, it will cost more than $40 as they charge per person.
