What is there to do close to the cruise port?

Go into the port shopping area and you'll find the Barbados tourism place. The people there are very informative about what to see and do. They'll also give you a free color map of the island and mark some close places for you to go.

 

If you look left from the port, you can see Brandon's Beach. It's a 25 min walk from the ship. Found a bunch of nice sea glass there and had a great time. A little further left from Brandon's Beach is Malibu Beach; where you will find the Malibu Rum Tour.You must take this tour with a group, no single entrance anymore :(

 

On your way there (walking of course) you'll stumble upon the Mt Gay Rum factory. Check before you leave on your cruise and see if you can get a tour of it just by walking in.

 

If you walk away from the cruise port, remember your way through town. The walk is NOT always along the beach and you could get a little lost if you're not good with directions. The good thing is: that the ship is always in sight!
