"Turtle Bay"

We are looking to swim with the turtles and RC offers a "Swim with Turtles, Shipwrecks, Snorkel and Beach", not sure what company this is with... Has anyone taken this tour?? Thanks so much!!

Was just in Barbados last week. I took a taxi to Paynes bay and spent 5 hours swimming with the turtles. If you have your own snorkel gear all of the catamarans stop right off the beach there.

How far of a swim is it from the beach?

Sorry if I sound a little rude.. but it's Payne's Bay, not Turtle Bay. Please bring your own snorkleing equipment (although it might be worthwhile if someone did add mask/fins and snorkels to the Chair and umbrella concession, (although they are not cheap to purchase here, but still might be a good opportunity).

I'm terrible with distances but I'm guessing about 50meters, or so to the site where they normally swim around.

and as a general rule the beach is good, the sea is fairly calm and it's great for families.. however.. the tides can sometimes change and the beach can have a pretty nasty beach break.. just be careful.. this time of year and at this moment.. there is no wind so the sea should be flat on that side of the island.
