RCCI Slot Payouts Percentage?

Recommended Posts

Whatever the payout...play for fun, not to win money. Whatever payouts you're used to in land based casinos, these slots will be colder. Of course some will come out ahead...we have too. But, if you play long enough...the house odds rule.

AMEN! We feel the same way. It should always be fun. If you're losing and losing and losing, switch machines - or come back later.

Oh - and never, ever play more than you are willing (and able) to lose. We leave our ATM and credit cards in the room (a little different on cruises with your seapass card - but you know what I mean.)

You'll have to go back to the room and get them - and that might be enough time to rethink losing more money.

I have been a Casino VIP for a long time but now, playing for fun is really the only draw for me on RCI ships. Now (since Sept. 2015) that RCI is issuing 1099G's for hand pays it really isn't advantageous to play machines that don't have a guaranteed payout as I am a US citizen and have to pay taxes on my win. Currently you need to put $22,500. and $30,000. through the slots to "win" an inside cabin or balcony cabin, respectively. With no more cash rebates after March 15th and casino cabin rates for many sailings that are often coming in just a couple of hundred dollars lower than sale rates coupled with Crown and Anchor discounts, it just isn't worth it anymore - free drinks in the casino and the chocolate covered strawberries in my cabin aren't much of an allure. The "new" program will be revealed shortly, but it is going to have to be a real winner for me to part with my dollars.

Actually - it is practically possible. All of the slot machines (even the old style) are linked by the casino's computer. Watch as they turn all of the "different slot machines" into the SAME game for a slot tournament. Because of this they CAN adjust the slots to be tighter or more loose, it's merely software.

I can't say with CERTAINTY that it happens - but after 4 years in Casino Royale and a great deal of money won and lost - we found it to be true. (3 different people - playing with different sea pass cards, betting the same, same time of night, same duration, all variables controlled.) ALL 3 people were way up on the first and second nights of the cruise and it went down from there. We come with gambling money set aside and we know our own limits - so it's not all about the money. It actually pays for our next cruise. But the same routine on all cruises - first couple of days we're up, then we go back to breaking even.

Regardless - for us it's about fun, a couple of drinks and people watching. :)

We have sailed on many cruises in the past couple of years and I just said to my DH it seems like the Video Poker machines pay well the beginning of the cruise and are tight towards the end of the cruise. Any significant winnings, $500-$4500 for us, have been during the first two days. After that you are lucky if you see a four of a kind.

This may not necessarily be true but it sure does seem that way.....lol. We will see what happens in couple of months when we sail on the Anthem.

Whenever I walk by the casino and feel tempted, I think about my job and marvel about how quickly a day's worth of labor can be moved... Do I love my job enough to work for "free" to make up for what I could lose? Negative, Jack! However, it's free to watch others and often times they'll be a happy hour, hence a source of cheaper alcohol.
