upon looking to book cruise for far east on costa site 29/05/10. price for two people cad.e2 $5638.au.costa australian site.look up costa uk site same cruise price in pounds 2818=4621dollars.au aprox.1000au dollars cheaper to book same cruise on uk site. that was two weeks ago.yesterday uk site1198 pounds=3655dollars. au. cheaper.still same price$5638 australian site,shoudent costa be charging everyone the same price regardles of the country where they live or is there a valid reason for the diferent priceing in diferent countrys.. ps. already booked this /cruise as a package but that is cause for another thread. chears holiday traveler...

Its the same for all cruise lines. We are currently checking on cruises for 2011 and the difference in price for Celebrity and Princess vary about $1000-15000 as well. Its definitely not right but until we get a bigger say in it, things are not going to change. We are going to be bookin our next cruise through a UK cruise company. - mummsie

What happens when you book cruises via an overseas website? I have tried with Carnival and not been able to. I have not tried with Costa though as we have always booked through the Costa agent in Australia.

 

It is such a shame that we are slugged so much more, by the time you pay for the cruise and then flights it all starts to add up

could be many reasons for the price difference. taxes come to mind, first. another thing - don't they charge aussies ahead of time for the hotel service charges since you'all are so against tipping? does it include your insurance?
