Explorer of the Seas Review

Recommended Posts

Just got back from the Western Caribbean last week. We had an excellent time. The food was quite good (especially when our waiter would recommended it). We found the crew very accomendating and friendly. This was our first cruise and I think now we are hooked.

It's quite easy to get hooked. Glad you had a great time. Did you get off the ship in Belize? If so, can you provide details?

On Explorer 5/23 - Western Caribbean. Great ship, great staff, great time. We snorkeled in Belize and rented wave runners in Costa Maya, shopped in Cozumel, Turtles and shopped in Grand Cayman, and ate, and ate -- took a nap and ate again!

Thanks for the info on the fresh water pools.

I hope they keep it that way until our cruise in September. RCCL must be reading all the surveys that people filled out or perhaps they are even reading this forum. I wonder what other changes are in store.

Anybody have any feedback on the Explorer?

On excursions it depends on you. In Grand Cayman do Stingray City. It is a must and the water is shallow enough that most non-swimmers will feel okay. In Cozumel we did Catch the Wave. It was good for the value. Our excursion in Costa Maya got cancelled last minute and we got refunded so I can't help there. Belize is fine if you have an excursion set up. Otherwise treat it as another sea day.

The pools were all freshwater. I hope this stays the same for you.
