suvicki Posted April 16, 2010 #1 Share Posted April 16, 2010 We have booked an inside cabin for our upcoming cruise. It is a cabin that sleeps 4 but there will be three of us in it. Anyone know how big it will be compared to the E2 balcony we had last year? Thanks.

Hard to say since you did not advise the name of the ship. Suggest you go on RCCL's website and look at the deck plans for the ship you are booked on To the left of the deck plans will be the square footage for the cabins based on deck level. sailinglisa Posted April 17, 2010 #3 Share Posted April 17, 2010 It MAY not be that much smaller than your E2 on the previous cruise because you will have no balcony.....and they do count the balcony in the size of the stateroom. But we do need to know what ship you are talking about.
suvicki Posted April 17, 2010 Author #4 Share Posted April 17, 2010 Sorry about not naming ship, we will be on IOS. I think it cant be that much smaller due to the space needed for wheelchair, thats what I am hoping anyway. Thanks
MedicKen Posted April 17, 2010 #5 Share Posted April 17, 2010 I don't know if this will help you but DW, DS and I will be on Explorer of the Seas May 8. We have an inside as well. I'll try to get back on and let you know when we return. BTW, DW uses a scooter.
Quampapetet Posted April 18, 2010 #6 Share Posted April 18, 2010 I was on the Radiance of the Seas a few years ago. I didn't see the size of any HC balcony cabins, but one of my friends is a full-time WC user and had an inside HC room plus two roommates. The room was a good size - more squareish than longish - and the bathroom was big, too. The room door had an automatic opener/closer on it. There was plenty of room inside to move around in a WC. CaptData Posted April 18, 2010 #7 Share Posted April 18, 2010 The balconey H/C and the inside H/C are about the same size. The balconey is about 4sq ft bigger for the longer couch.
suvicki Posted April 18, 2010 Author #8 Share Posted April 18, 2010 Thanks everyone. We sail on 25th April so we will soon see how big it is. Glad to hear it should be about same size as last cabin as that was a good size to be able to get around with the wheelchair.
