Has anyone traveled on this ship recently? This will be our second cruise together (our first being our honeymoon in 2007). We are hoping to have the same great experience as before. Any suggestions of shows that are a must? I'm particularly interested in the mixologist contest.

Haven't been on her in a few years (this will be my 2nd on her) but noticed that you are on the 9/26 sailing....so come and join the Roll Call :)

Yes, we were on her in March. Search Valor reviews and you will see several reviews including mine. We had a great time.

was on her in september...we had a wonderful time...really liked the 80s show.

Was on her last June. We loved it. The entertainment was great. The shows were great. Play that and Music Asia were wonderful. The attrium and the casino area flip floped Play That and a one man band. He wasn't veryi good but they others were. In the attrium there were a couple of break dancer shows too. The 80's party was great too in the casino are promenade. This was our favorite area. Tables and chairs and areas to people watch enjoy the music dance, etc. Food was great too. We had the best time. Didn't go in the disco. Went to karaoke a few times. I find the people on the cruise make the difference. Depends on what everyone likes. THe deck party was alot of fun too along with the Mexican buffet they had.

We sailed the Valor in January and had a blast.. While I didn't participate in the mixologist contest my son and I had had a front row seat. Everyone had a great time. My son can still rattle off the drink names... Gummi Bear, Pennsylvannia Snake Bite, Upset Fred........

We were on the Valor in January and loved it! The burrito bar was a huge hit with our family, but it had weird hours so make sure to watch the signs or you'll miss it. (Like, 11-1 one day, 12:30-2:30 the next day, etc.)

 

Did go to the actual mixology contest but caught the reruns on tv and it was a hoot! One the last night, I finally ordered the winning drink (the Sjenk?!?) and it was actually really good--wish I'd tried it sooner!

Just off the Valor last week, the shows are just as good as any other Carnival ship...and the same. That was the only drawback for me, nothing really new in the past 8 years as far as the shows go...but a good ship just the same, clean, good service, good food, lots of activities!
