dldestiny Posted April 19, 2010 #1 Share Posted April 19, 2010 We are planning on doing the Altun Ha tour with Island Marketing. Do we need to tip the drivers/guide after the tour or is this not customary in Belize? I never know what is expected. In the USA I would not tip a tour guide at a museum or zoo. Thanks! ama-sam Posted April 20, 2010 #2 Share Posted April 20, 2010 We did tip our guide - she was a great part of our day. If I recall it was not much, $20 for my husband and I. Ally

CMM Posted April 22, 2010 #4 Share Posted April 22, 2010 First let me preface that we did NOT do this tour , but I can say that our guides withcave tubing . com were pushing for the tips big time. So I would think tipping is like in the US, it is up to you. We were pretty disgusted with our whole experience that we tipped the bare minimum possible without looking awkward. We were just looking to get back as smoothly as possible. They went around one by one to collect our payment & tip during the last 30 minutes of our bus ride back to the ship. Since it was Thanksgiving Day they told us we could show our thanks by tipping.
