LemurCat Posted April 21, 2010 #26 Share Posted April 21, 2010 I generally don't wear them as I tend to go barefoot whenever I can year-round anyway (yes, even in the winter ... no I'm not a hippie). If I do need something like that, I have Teva sandals and dive socks. I much prefer the Teva sandals to water shoes as they have actual arch support. waiting4acruise Posted April 21, 2010 #27 Share Posted April 21, 2010 We are planning on spending the day at Paradise Beach in Cozumel, would you recommend them there? If there is a rocky/coral bottom then I would like to be prepared, but if it's a sandy bottom I would prefer to be shoeless. :) I would have water shoes at Paradise Beach. Some places are rocky. bugsy777 Posted April 21, 2010 #29 Share Posted April 21, 2010 I also wanted to know whether I had to purchase water shoes for my Dolphin Swim in Chankanaab Cozumel, I contacted them by e mail and their answer was that you are not allowed to wear themwhen interacting with the dolphins. The beaches are another story....
gonzo1124 Posted April 21, 2010 #30 Share Posted April 21, 2010 That is a nice beach. Order some nachos and Sol beer while there, they are great!
