GS balcony question on BOTS...

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone,

We booked ourselves into a W guaranteed suite (1032) on our upcoming honeymoon Mediterranean cruise on BOTS. It appears as though GS 1060 has come available - worth a switch? Do either of these balconies get direct sun? Any noise concerns for either?

On the Jewel, sister ship, we find the port side of deck 10 noisier than the the starboard side. The noise comes from overhead, deck 11, the port side is the traffic path so you will hear from time-to-time a rolling cart, someone running. I see the appeal of the 1060 with the hump balcony. I'm not sure about elevator noise. Someone else might know. I don't recall hearing it when in the concierge lounge.

As far as direct sun, the ship is constantly moving, so whenever the port side is facing south, you'll get sun. However, you have a large overhang from deck 11 so you'll always have some shade.

I don't think you can go wrong with either suite. The important thing is to have a wonderful time!!!
