carnival smoke

I see you like to resort to insults....grow up. I know where the smoking areas are. but for a new cruiser checking out this thread, your post would not have helped him at all. Just because you have 4000+ posts does not give you the right to basicially call someone stupid.

...but it makes them feel so good:rolleyes:

I ment to say I hope it's mostly smoke free. Oh well LOL

We sailed Miracle last October. Great ship and one of our favorite cruises. We were surprised at how many places on the ship were actually non-smoking.

Smoking was permitted in the cabins and on the balconies, as well as the casino, the sports bar, and the piano bar. (Though there were no smoking signs at the seats right by the piano itself.) In essence, smoking was allowed in any bar that had walls and doors.

Any bar that was located in a public walkway area was non-smoking.

The port side of the Lido deck was non-smoking.

Of the six cruises we have taken, I found this one to be the least smokey. It could be due to the passenger make-up of the week we sailed or it could be because it seemed like there were more non-smoking areas than I remember.

I was on the Valor last week and was told by my room steward that there was absolutely no smoking in the rooms which suprised me cause I could smoke in my cabin on the Holiday

He pulled a fast one on you.

And I guess he's too lazy.

I've been treated the same way as a newcomer to cruising and message boards, which are public; if anyone's going to "reprimand" me for my ignorance, dumb posts and stupid questions it should be an administrator not someone on a power trip. I must ask myself, "Who died and left them in charge?":(

Last Spring on the Pride, I read the newsletter to find out where the smoking areas were so we could avoid them. Walked quickly whenever we passed thru the Casino, unfortunately couldnt tolerate the Piano Bar which was a shame, but the most aggrivating part was on the rear Lido deck, at the tables near the adult pool--

smoking is allowed on the Starboard side, and when the day started, there were ashtrays on those tables only. We sat on the Port side. People continually fetched ashtrays from the starboard tables and brought them over to the port side tables to be with their friends, or cause that was the only open table at mealtime, or whatever reason.

The staff did nothing, didnt put the ashtrays back on the starboard tables until i guess the next morning before the bar opened.

I wonder if this year I will have the nerve to say something... I am quite nonconfrontational.:(

I'm still searching for my non-smoking ship. From a medical point of view, many people, not only the elderly, many young people who suffer from COPD such as asthma, emphysema, etc.,simply cannot bear being around it.

Then by all means, they should not be on a cruiseship with a smoking funnel.

Sadly.... some passengers just have a hard time following the policies when onboard and not just about smoking. And to those that think the policies do not apply to them....guess they dont realize what affect it has on their fellow passengers cruise experience... but then they probably could care less !
