Easter sailing ?

Wondering if anyone has sailed during Easter or other holidays and if HAL does anything special for the holiday? We are sailing this Easter and have children and are wondering if they will have an egg hunt or anything else special? I am thinking about taking plastic eggs and having our own little hunt as we will be on HMC on Easter Day.

We were on the Rotterdam last Easter. They had a few bunny decorations. That is the only thing that indicated it was Easter. If they did anything for the children on board it was done through Club HAL and we were not aware. Sorry I can't be more help.

Bringing your own plastic eggs is a good idea. At least you are covered if they do nothing.

I was on the same cruise as Palmgirl and agree with what she posted, some decorations were in the dining room but didn't see or hear anything about Easter Egg hunts or anything for children. As Palmgirl indicated, if anything was done it was confined to Club Hal.

We were on a 10 day cruise and there were very few children on board.

My Aunt sailed on a 7 day over Easter and they had a couple of hundred kids on board.

We were on Maasdam last Easter. We did not have children with us, but I seem to remember a egg hunt and I think they had kids coloring eggs. There were Easter decorartions as you came into the dining room of beautiful chocolate Easter eggs.

We were on the Maasdam with our children last Easter and they had a blast. Quite a few families also brought their own eggs for an egg hunt. You may want to distinguish your own eggs from others in some way... depending on the ship there can be quite a few kids on board.

The chocolate Easter eggs made by the chefs were beautiful - they gave them away to guests and children the day after the dessert extravaganza.

We are on the Volendam (10-day Caribbean) this Easter and hope there will be as many kids as there were last year on the Maasdam. Hope this helps. :)
