Anyone Interested in Late Jan/Early Feb 2012 CC Group Cruise to ARUBA on Miracle?

Yikes! I'll never be able to catch up if I have to work every day!

BTW, remind me to NEVER ask for an extra day off after a holiday weekend. UGH! I played hooky yesterday and it sure came back to bite me. Work up to my eyeballs when I got in this morning...I think I've got it down to about knee level now...crossing my fingers for a quiet morning tomorrow so I can get it low enough to step on! :p

Welcome to our new shipmates!

Hi Linda! Happy to hear that you and Judie will be back in the group!

That little 2 day-er sounds fun!

My DH and I are interested in this cruise. Looks like a great group of people going. I have emailed Johnan and am waiting her call. We would love to join you all! The two day cruise before sounds tempting!

We have cruised a few times...not as many as some of you. We love it and are proud to be cruise junkies!

My husband and I own a photography studio. So winter is the best time for us to go. Not much going on in the studio that time of year.

We also have just become empty nesters! :D No more need to worry about what the kids will be doing! Finally can totally let our hair down!

Can't wait! Counting the days!

Add us to the BOOKED list! :D

I spoke with Johna today and Judie and I are all set to go. Booked an 8B guarantee cabin and signed up for late dinner seating.

Things have been a bit crazy with people coming in to look at the house, which means I have to spend more time cleaning, (not my favorite pasttime!) work is nuts and some family issues are finally settling down. I have been lurking like some of the others (Hi Doug!) and I will post more once the separate threads get set up.

But we are REALLY happy we are booked and are looking forward to seeing y'all again and making new friends!

Linda

I am so happy you are booked. We are looking forward to seeing you and Judie again.

Our oldest son that is having his Marriage Blessed this weekend has a 9 year old step son. He will be 11 when we cruise. Good to know other kids coming.

Hi. Our grandson Curtis will be 10. This will be his first cruise. He is really excited.

Nite all, Morning will come early in the morning, I agree with the others - 1 extra day off and it takes forever to catch up.

I am with Debbie, way too much to catch up on in one day!!! Ok, NJ people. My son went to Stockton and I live about 45 mins. from there. I am 20 mins south of Philadelphia. I am 44(currently) and my hopeful roomie is a bit older. That would be Karen. I am a Mom of 2. Daughter soon to be 22 attending Monmouth Univ. and my son will be 21 in August attending Camden County College. Step-daughter (from the ex) is 26, happily married and I have 2 beautiful grandchildren! Danika Rylee is 3 1/2 years old and Nolan Christopher who is 4 months old. They live in CT. I have another little grandson who is 2 1/2 years old. He is a bit of a story. I met him when he was 5 weeks old. I was his Grammy/foster mom from 7/2009 until 2/2010. I haven't been allowed to have contact with him in over 2 months. Anyone who has been involved in the system knows it is very screwed up. Enough said.

Cabin crawl. Tim, I will be in search to find some cool pants. Everyone can host in the cabin crawl or you can just crawl. I love hosting and crawling. Bring your knee pads!

I think I missed something along the way. Have they def. Listed this cruise?? If so how do I get the info.?? Costs and such?? Deposits and all?? If I sound out of it, I am. So tired.

Anyone know how far the Hard Rock is from the port...that would be a nice pool/party spot to start out our cruise... (It may be a bit far though if I remember correctly)

From 17th Street Causeway (north end of the port where many of the hotels are located) to Hard Rock is only about 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. We live 45 minutes north of Fort Lauderdale and we've never been there! Always wanted to...so maybe one of these days.

Ok, call me crazy, but I just booked that little 2 nighter prior to our cruise. Got the same cabin number also, so no need to pack and unpack. I know it will probably be a total booze cruise just being 2 nights but a nice little pre-start to a fun 8 nights.

Wow, sounds like so much fun!

Need some help/ info on booking with the group.

Taz

Contact Johna at CruCon. Her email is johnan@crucon.com and her phone number is 800-493-6609. She can give you the break down of the cabin prices.

(I just noticed that PictureChris offered to send info....)

Funny story about our ages....when I called Johna a couple months ago to book our Spirit cruise next year I mentioned that it would be 1 senior (my DH) and 2 adults (me and our DS). She said no, it'll be 2 seniors and 1 adult...you'll be over 55 for the cruise!:eek: Man, I was depressed for the rest of the day! :o

Elaine sounds like our boys are going to have more buddies to hang with. If your grandson is like our Jake they better stock up on ice cream and pizza! My boy can eat and is skinny, very active boy. He loves to go to a casino about 45mins from here to hit the all you can eat crab leg buffet. He always says "I'm going to make them pay tonight".:D

Good Morning All,

Kathi, (Happy Lady) you make me feel old! I have two years on you!

Here's to hoping for our rooms today! If not we can just tell Laura we will go take over someone elses room; I am sure they wold make room for us! :D I take that back, they have removed the old rooms of pass sailings and done some revising of the Member cruise area so maybe today will be the day!

Have a GREAT Day everyone!

Carl & I have been for about 2 years now....we call it our 'Second Honeymoon'...LOL It's like being teenagers again...without having worrying parents !

Look forward to meeting you .

Good Morning Miracle Waiters!!

Did anyone happen to catch the television program about the Oasis on Mega Ships last night? Wow!! She looks HUGE!! I was fascinated. So fascinated that I looked up the itinerary and see that it is possible to an almost back to back with our sailing... with only 1 day in between. There is a 7 day sailing that arrives back in Fort Lauderdale on January 28th!! It's definitely quite a bit more pricey than most 7 day cruises, and I'm not overly thrilled with the itinerary, but we are still going to consider it. I have never sailed on RCCL either. Likely we will just stick to the back to back on the Miracle and stay on for another 8 days after the group cruise, but we shall see!

Have a great day everyone and I sure hope we get our permanent "home" soon!!

This was only showing in Canada...waiting for it to come out on US TV. We are sailing with 35 of us on the Oasis for Halloween this year so I will let you know how she is...

We were planning on just Jill and I for this cruise but now we may consider bringing the kids along. There seems to be several in their age group which is making us reconsider. Jills son is currently 11 & her daughter is 10.

"Hi" Doug........ I know you're lurking!

Oh Bill you must bring them, Russell & Katrina were delightful and so very well behaved on the Freedom.:) And they'll most likely have Elly to hang with along with the others booked in their age range. You can be so proud of them !
