I seen that as well on Oasis. Way to big for my liking but it was really nice inside that courtyard area. I even found Liberty way to big that is one of the reasons I like the spirit class ships. We even loved Celebration and it was only 55,000 tons.

I just sent my signed contract back to Johna now I wait for the confirmation, sure does take a long time I have another 7-10 days waiting:eek:, oh well what else is there to do,

poor Johna is so busy she should get some help, maybe I will apply;)

Joan:)

It takes 7-10 days for a physical confirmation but she will e-mail you the confirmation numbers probably later today or tomorrow...

That is kind of how I am hoping things don't go...I was concerned but the group we book with will only do RCCL so if we go with them it is already set in stone, they won't make adjustments for just me...they already have the Allure booked for next October...I will have to see how I like the Oasis before I commit to the Allure...most people that have sailed her said they were very reluctant to do so but loved it so I hope we are one of them...only problem is you can't really see the Ocean from too many places on the boat, more like a resort than a cruise...

Paul and I both emailed her our information yesterday (all except the credit card number). Hoping to hear from her today.

As for the huge RCCL ships.....they say you can't even tell you are at sea like it is a good thing. I want to be at sea, I love feeling a little movement, I love being able to look out and see nothing but water!

I am on the dream coming up and am thinking that may be as big as I want to go.

Funny story about our ages....when I called Johna a couple months ago to book our Spirit cruise next year I mentioned that it would be 1 senior (my DH) and 2 adults (me and our DS). She said no, it'll be 2 seniors and 1 adult...you'll be over 55 for the cruise! Man, I was depressed for the rest of the day! :o

OHGoodness! I hadn't thought about it, but Walter will be a senior by the the time we do this cruise! And I'm not far behind him!!

Whoa! Kathi, you have given me something to think about!:p

Chris, I feel the same as you....I love the little movement of the ship...my idea of a great day is grabbing my deck chair early in the morning and sitting right there most of the day, looking out at the blue, blue ocean...under that blue, blue sky...with a breeze blowing in my face...good friends by my side and a cold drink in my hand. (and a little...okaaay...lots of food at my disposal!:p)

Welcome aboard to Linda and Judie, and Bill and Sue also!!!

Elaine sounds like our boys are going to have more buddies to hang with. If your grandson is like our Jake they better stock up on ice cream and pizza! My boy can eat and is skinny, very active boy. He loves to go to a casino about 45mins from here to hit the all you can eat crab leg buffet. He always says "I'm going to make them pay tonight".:D

Good Morning Everyone. Today is my day off and I am being lazy and loving it.

Good morning seguincruiser. I'm really happy that there are going to be several kids with the group for Curtis to get to know. He is very outgoing. He will eat almost any kind of food. We are hoping this will be the first of many cruises for him with the group. Maybe the kids will make long lasting friendships.

I was looking at tiaras and boas online. I guess it is a little early to buy anything now. I want my boa colors to match up with the outfit I will wear to board and who knows what size I will be in 604 days? I did see some cool tiara sunglasses though. It just hit me that I will be really close to 60  when we sail. So when I deck myself out in my sunglasses, tiara and boa there will be no mistaking who that very refined and dignified old lady in line is. :D

Elaine, I can't imagine you ever being lazy...you are always so up, happy and energetic!! (And I don't want to hear any nay-saying from Richard - Retired husbands don't get to comment on their wife's everyday life!:p;)

And when we get our very own group forum going, I will post a wonderful picture of this "very refined and dignified old lady"!

Sheila<-----------muttering to herself ("old lady" my eye! Nothing "old" about her! mutter...mutter..."old lady" - Huh!....mutter, mutter)

I emailed Johna yesterday because they had deducted the $50.00 deposit, but I never got the email to sign & return. She apologized and sent it to me, so I should get my confirmation in a week or so. I told it was ok, I know we had bombarded:eek: her last week!

I forgot to ask though, when we book a guaranteed balcony, do you get the room number or can they wait to right before we cruise for that?

Humid in Florida,

Lisa
