which falls are the best to see

what falls are the best to see. my dh and I want to take a cab and check out the falls, anyone know how far the falls are from the port and how much a taxi would run?

I guess I really can't answer this question because I have only seen one, but I do know that you are not going to see the best falls just taking a cab. The ones we went to were pretty deep into the jungle and was a 45 minute hike to get there. I would not think there is a better waterfall than the one I saw right near a road that a cab could have taken us to.

I believe padre is referencing Middleham Falls which are truly the most spectacular to see in Dominica imo. However, it's a pretty intense hike to get there. I've also seen Trafalgar Falls which are smaller but still nice and only about a 10 minute hike.
