7 mile beach & parasailing

Can someone tell me if it's possible to just grab a taxi and tell them to take you to a nice spot on 7 mile beach that's not too crowded but where you can parasail. Are they just going to drop me off at some resort or are there water sports at the public beaches?

Yes, that's possible. When I have been there, there have always been boats that pull up to the beach that will take you parasailing. (I have done just that. Taxi to public beach and then parasailed with a boat that pulled up.) Of course that was the time when the rope broke and I go the express ride on the way down. Hope that doesn't happen to you. There will be many taxis waiting to take you to the beach. Unless you want to pay for a resort or beach club, you will be sitting in the sun. Chair/umbrella rentals at the beach clubs usally run around $25 per couple.
