Thanks so much for the fantastic review. We'll be on the Pride June 20th....family cruise including two 6 year olds, a 7 year old and a 4 year old. They are really excited already...............................What are the charges for babysitting and how does it work?........................Also, in general how was smoking on board? Since we'll be on the Pride after the school year with lots of children I'm wishfully hoping for minimum smoking....................Glad you had a great time on the Pride...........Our last Carnival cruise was a 16 day TA on the Splendor and we had a great time...........Marty

We were getting off the Pride when you were getting on! It was our first cruise and we loved everything about it! I am planning to sail her again next year. I forgot that Jaime said she was going on vacation, I know she won't spend much time off the ship because she and Kirk are a couple, they joked about how they spend their vacations on the Pride because their boyfriend/girlfriend won't let them leave, we really enjoyed them and all of the staff, and the FOOD, all I can say is WOW!

Funny - my husband and I watched the Morning Show one morning and said to each other: "I wonder if they're a couple. They banter like they're either best friends or a couple." Interesting!

To the person who asked about smoking, there wasn't very much, just the casino bothered me a bit. We went to the question and answer meeting with Kirk and Jaime and someone asked them point blank if they were a couple. They admitted it, she said they met when she came on board to get the Fun Times up and running when the ship switched to the Baltimore port. Their 1 year "anniversary" was April 25th. They do seem to have a fun relationship although she is about 15 yrs younger than him. I wish them the best and hope to see them again next year!

I was wondering about the age for the piano bar. DH really has no interest in going to this with me however DS does. He is 16 but looks 18. Are under 21 year olds allowed?

Yes. I was on the Pride 4/4-4/11 and took my kids who are pre-teens into the piano bar.

Loving your review. Thanks for sharing...

You are quite welcome!:D

What an adorable daughter you have! She seems so mature for a 3 yr old.

Thanks for taking the time to do a review...you are doing a great job and thanks for sharing your pictures.:)

Thanks so much. She is mature for a 3 year old, with the attitude to prove it!

There were at times some teens in the piano bar, and earlier in the night, like between 9 and 10 there were even kids in there. Like I said earlier, there was no smoking around the bar, so it wasn't smokey at all in there. I would have taken my own daughter in there if she hadn't been so excited about camp!

Hi Marty! Your kids will love the Pride, my daughter really did! Babysitting was great. From 10pm to 3 am you could leave your children for $6/hr for the first child. The rate went down for each additional child but since I only have one I don't remember the price. It was, in my opinion, well worth it! They showed them movies, gave them snacks, and played games with them. My daughter is very honest and would tell me every aspect of her night, and I never felt like the counselors were anything but wonderful with her! She begged us, literally every night, right after dinner to go!

The smoking only really bothered me in the casino. Everywhere else was outdoors so it was there, but not horribly. The piano bar it wasn't bad in. We did go into the Sports bar, and they allow cigar smoking in there, so that bothered me a lot. But otherwise it wasn't too bad.

Have a great time, and review when you get back!:D

How much were the beers? I just know were going to have a high bar bill. :D but hey we're on vacation right...

domestic beers were 4.95 plus gratiuity. Others were more but I don't know offhand. Our bar bill was over $1,000  but whatever, we were on vacation!

how was it getting back to the hotel to pick up your car after the cruise? we are booked at the hotel for our Aug 8 cruise - my husband is a little nervous that we will have to wait around a long time for the shuttle back to the hotel

It wasn't bad. I will get more into it when I get to the last day but we only waited about 15 minutes for the shuttle and it took about 20 minutes to get to the hotel. Make sure you have the hotel phone number with you, and call right as you are waiting in line to disembark. They will be waiting for you or on your way when you get outside.

Enjoying your review. Thanks for sharing.

That is wild about how much the pool water faded the swimwear.

Thank you so much:D

I am anxiously awaiting more of your review. I love how you write and all of your joy and enthusiasm just comes through. And I'm getting very excited for our cruise on Pride in October.

Karen

I appreciate that:D You will have the best time!

More to come tonight friends!

Thank you so much much for the review. I am really enjoying it. We leave next january 16th on the pride and i cant wait. At first it was just my boyfriend and myself, but yesterday added my two nieces who will be 16 and 17 at the time of sailing. Do you think they will find plenty to do also for their age rage?

I'm so glad you had the cruise vacation you dreamed it would be. Enjoying your review alot. Great pictures.

You are such a nice looking family. Glad to finally see who I've been chatting with on this website and email .... Freeport is definetly our favorite of the bahamas and can't wait to see it again on our next Pride cruise (less than 200 days now ! )

I am enjoying your review. Your DD is precious. I will keep your hot tub experience in mind - my DD had the color run on with a new suit last year (hot pink became very muted).

My DD (now 14) and I are on the Pride June 27th.

you will have a fantastic time! There were a lot of kids of all ages on the ship but they always seemed to be having a great time. I'm sure they will find fun everywhere on the ship, there were always constant activities around!

Keep it coming !!!

I'm re-living our cruise through you .

Its coming-I'm aiming to do 1 to 2 days a night, we'll see though! I know how hard it is to wait to read a review you're in to!

Wednesday-Cape Canaveral

My family must have been very tired because they slept very late today. I didn’t want to wake them because I didn’t want a crabby child on my hands. When I woke up around 8:30 (the latest I’ve ever slept on vacation) they were still out and I had a nasty hangover so I just kind of laid low. The weather was very cloudy, and I’ve been to Florida before, so I wasn’t in a rush to get off the ship. They finally woke and we made it to breakfast at about 10:20, right before it ended. Made to order omelets again, and plenty of bacon to go around, even though I was still hurting from last night and couldn’t really eat much!

We decided that since it was cloudy and it felt sort of chilly, we would not go to Coco Beach as planned that morning, but maybe later on in the day. We decided instead to visit the Art of Sand exhibit that Steve with all the aaaaa’s suggested earlier this month.

The only thing we didn’t know was that to take a cab out of the port it was $20. Minimum. So for the 5 minute ride to the exhibit we paid $20. A little ridiculous but nothing we could do about it at that point since we wanted to get off the ship to do something. The Art of Sand exhibit was very cool. Since we were from out of state, we paid half price to see it, which was even better! The exhibit had lots of sculptures, some of which took 2 weeks to create. The detail was incredible.
