ruff Posted April 28, 2010 #1 Share Posted April 28, 2010 I will be cruising to Canada with stops in St. John NB and Halifaax NS. I will want to phone home and cannot use my cell phone. Are there pay phones near the dock? I suppose if I get a regular phone card here in the U.S. I would be able to use it in Canada? Thanks for your help. You won`t have a problem finding a payphone - they are plentiful in public areas.

Any convenience store near the dock will have phone cards. The ship's crew buy them. Viv

Putterdude Posted May 1, 2010 #6 Share Posted May 1, 2010 Likely, doesn't matter for the amount you are going to use it. I have cards that I just don't seem to be able to use up.
