How do you know what time to tell them? We can usually be off the ship pretty quickly because of the Captain's Club, but usually there's no way to know if there will be any "problems" disembarking that will hold up everyone. Don't want to pay a late charge for their waiting, but don't want to be off and hanging around waiting for them, either.

This would be in Bayonne.

We did this in Galveston. They knew when the ship would be arriving, plus, they had us call once we got to port. They at the door in plenty of time.

We usually tell them 9:30, but they always ask for your cell number and want you to call them to give them an update. I know you have an hour window before they charge you a wait charge. At least that how it works here in Florida.

We usually give them a time (around 9 or 9:30, we like to stay on as long as we can) and then use our cell phone to call and confirm on disembarkation day. If we're held up by something, we call and update them.

NO! NO! NO! Don't do that to yourselves!!!

Take it easy, you are still on a cruise. I don't understand why so many people act like they are going to die if they aren't the first ones off the ship.

We relax and enjoy our morning. Have a liesurely breakfast, go tell all you new friends buy and exchange emails; go tell the staff what a wonderful cruise you had and thank you; then have another cup of coffee.

Don't pay any attention to the announcements about luggage colors.

Wait until you hear them say "Everyone should be off the ship by now!"

Then get you carry-ons, meander down the gangplank with no lines - go through customs with no lines, then gather your luggage with no crowds pushing and shoving and then go to your car waiting. It will be around 10:30 or 11:00. ;)

Hope This Helps.
