LambKnuckles Posted May 2, 2010 #26 Share Posted May 2, 2010 If you want to order a sweet drink (non-alcoholic), order the smoothie called Banana Split... YUMMMY!!!!! I added some rum to it -- from my stash -- and it just sent me over the top!!!! :D Here's the way they make it at Casino Bar on the CONQUEST -- special glasses that have Hershey's syrup frozen onto the inside glasses, just for these drinks... but in Alfred's, they add the syrup as they blend it... Both are equally satisfying!!!! And only $4.75 -- too good!!!! Nana picked this as her favorite!!! She had four of them during the cruise!!!! ChefSusan Posted May 2, 2010 #27 Share Posted May 2, 2010 For me, nothing says cruising like a BBC -- Bailey's Cream Liquer, Banana Daquri Liquer, and Pina Coloda Liquer. It's a frozen drink that the crew absolutely loves to drink, and I was introduced to it by my friends Marilyn and Ron a couple of years ago. It's absolutely YUMMY, and my favorite way to cool down! Another favorite is a mix of PassaGuava and OJ mixed with Raspberry Sweet Tea Vodka (or rum for my husband), as well as whatever the DoD is! Shouldn't be looking at other peoples sign/sail paperwork hanging outside their room!!!:)

SammieMC00 Posted May 2, 2010 #42 Share Posted May 2, 2010 I'm sailing out now in exactly 7 days on the pride. My first drink is of course going to be what ever the DOD is ,but then the week will be filled with a kiss on the lip (not exactly sure what's in it but it's frozen and tastes very peachy) Dirty Banana ( banana liquor and kahlua and not sure what else...also frozen) Pina Coloada's, Miami Vices, Cosmo's for pre/post dinner drink, And believe it or not i've never had a Long Island Ice Tea, so i'm hoping they are having the special that Mark posted about for the casino and i'll give it a try. Also I want to try a mohjito or however you spell it! LOL Oh and of course dont forget the buckets of ice cold miller lite sitting poolside! Oh what a miserable week this is going to be waiting for the cruise to roll around!

kimba6539 Posted May 2, 2010 #44 Share Posted May 2, 2010 NeedaTan, I love Blue Hawaiians. First time I had them was my 40th bday all inclusive in Mexico. I will have to order on the cruise! Thanks for the great memories:) Kim
JRock59 Posted May 2, 2010 #45 Share Posted May 2, 2010 Ok so just about any frozen Blue Drink get's my vote but on the Destiny back in February out by the pool one day I tried a new drink it was called a "shade 'em" or something like that.............YUM it was like frozen lemonade. I'll check on the Ecstacy in 8 days and see if it's listed if so I'll get a photo of the drink and the list it was on at the pool bar! :) And on another note, Falkcor so nice to see you back! We found a house and sign off on it this friday so come August Galveston will truly be a home port for us! :D Sailing on the Ecstacy the 10th to celebrate our Anniversary and the new house! ;)

Thanks for the great memories:) Kim Kim, You are welcome! Make sure you order it on the rocks. On my last cruise, one bartender gave me the frozen version - for some reason, it wasn't nearly as tasty.
WinnipegCruiser Posted May 2, 2010 #47 Share Posted May 2, 2010 I've seen some people with bar tabs on their sign/sail card almost as high as the cruise cost! I can't imagine. I wonder if you have given this a real thought. Carnival (just like every cruise line) budgets income from those drinks...and paintings, spa activities, tours etc... If you don't partake... fine... that just means those other people are paying for part of your cruise.... If you discouraged them, the price of your room would have to go up.... vacruisin Posted May 2, 2010 #49 Share Posted May 2, 2010 I love this thread! There are so many new drinks for me to try. Keep 'em coming :) What a great thread. It takes a special person to think up such a brilliant thread (ok, the OP is my DW)! :p Everyone thanks for the suggestions and pics of your favorite drinks with a special thanks to Falkcor for getting the ball rolling with all the great suggestions and pics! 9 weeks from now we'll be on the Lido of the Freedom drinking one of these many delicious looking beverages. Keep 'em coming please! :D Does anyone happen to have a pic of a Miami Vice? I have never had one but the pics I've seen have made that "must have" on our upcoming sailing. My plan is to have the traditional Funship special as my very first drink followed immediately by a Miami Vice. That should take care of my first 15 minutes onboard!
myers0214 Posted May 2, 2010 #50 Share Posted May 2, 2010 I second the melonball and raspberry sour. I am not a big drinker but could drink both of those all day (and I did :)).
