Maasdam Viking cruise suggestions?

My daughter and I are taking the July 17th cruise from and to Boston. We have signed up for tours but wonder if we are missing interesting sights. I am interested in nearly anything that ends in ology, plus the environment, history, etc. I'm even thinking about a helicoptor ride over the Iceland volcano. My problem is that I'm 82. Taking tai chi for balance and I'm improving but still have a few problems with stamina. I plan on walking each day for the next 2 1/2 months to help with that. So, ummm. I could use some info.
