cruise911 Posted January 30, 2005 #1 Share Posted January 30, 2005 banana bank lodge, best horseback riding, they will pick you up at cruise terminal, drive is about 45 minutes, lunch is included, they have a few animals, monkies drinking out of pepsi bottles, alligators to touch, birds to hold the horses cantor or trot if you want ,the people are great, they will play music with the great mexican lunch that you get, this is my kids favorite place ever to horseback ride, i would highly recommend it because their is not much to do in belize, we cant wait to go back,
Art123 Posted January 31, 2005 #2 Share Posted January 31, 2005 Cruise911, This sounds interesting. Do you have any information on how we can contact these folks? How much was it? THanks for the info.
Krispy Posted January 31, 2005 #3 Share Posted January 31, 2005 I second Banana Bank - they are an American Couple that run this ranch they even have "Tika" a beautiful Jaguar that lives there as well - do a search online for them as I know they have a website! We did this excursion through Carnival a few years ago and we STILL talk about it!
jonibc Posted March 14, 2005 #4 Share Posted March 14, 2005 I read your posts on Banana Bank Lodge and have contacted them. I had previously considered Belize Shore Excursions jungle spa tour with horseback riding but had read a couple of posts that the scenery there is not really jungle-like, the horseback ride is short, and there is no boat ride involved as it is at Banana Bank. I just wanted to ask what the scenery is like around Banana Bank Lodge. Is it jungle-like? What about the scenery on the boat ride? They told me the horseback ride lasts 1-1/2 hours. About how long does the boat ride last? And is the food pretty good? Thanks for your input!
