Limeygirl Posted May 3, 2010 #1 Share Posted May 3, 2010 Does anyone know which Pier # at Manhattan Pier the Veendam is located at? I am looking for transportation to the Pier, and found a bus Co. that goes directly there, but only to Pier #'s 88 & 90. Hopefully the Veendam is at one of those 2. If not...how far is it from pier to pier? Thanks!

Was wondering where would you be coming from that you would take a bus?
innlady1 Posted May 3, 2010 #3 Share Posted May 3, 2010 When we used to take the Noordam from NYC ('07 & '08), we took a bus from South Station in Boston. It also stopped in Providence, New London, and New Haven. Was quite popular. The 2nd year we just stopped in Providence. A 2nd bus picked up the CT people. They also ran Homeport buses from PA, NJ, upstate NY, and the Worcester area, I believe. HAL chartered the bus (Academy, I believe), and our TA arranged it. It was so easy! Limeygirl Posted May 4, 2010 Author #4 Share Posted May 4, 2010 Thank you for your replies. We are in PA. Unfortunately, there are no Homeport busses from HAL heading up to NY...they have things coming south from CT and MA, but nothing going north. I found a bus service going from the Allentown/Bethlehem area going directly to the pier. The other option is to head to Philadelphia and take the train or a bus from there...but would still have to grab a cab from Penn Station to the port. Figuring out how the hect to get to the ship has been more of a pain than anything else. Driving is not an option...we'd be divorced before the ship sailed.
mamaofami Posted May 4, 2010 #5 Share Posted May 4, 2010 I think the Veendam sailed out of pier 88 last week. Even so, the piers are right next to each other so you won't have any problem.:)
Vic The Parrot Posted May 23, 2010 #6 Share Posted May 23, 2010 On my sailing (2 May) Veendam was docked at Pier 90, on the north slip. But like everyone mentioned, all piers are very close to one another. An easy walk between all 3 of them. Enjoy Bermuda! :)
