Departure time question

I have a question about departure time. My hussband and I will be on Oasis in October. What is the earliest time we could book a flight out of FLL home? We do the express walk off. What time do you get off the ship and how long does it take to get to the airport?

I made a 9:40 flight out of FLL. I did express walk out at 6:15 am and was at the airport in plenty of time. Took maybe 20 mins to get off ship/through customs. Less than 10 min drive to the airport from Port Everglades.

 

One thing is that all the cruise ships are coming in at this time (well, most) and that means that even if things run smoothly at the cruise port, there will likely be lines at the airline to check in. I lucked out because apparently no one was flying JetBlue, but my parents waited a long time in line at Southwest.
