kimberlym4 Posted May 18, 2010 #1 Share Posted May 18, 2010 "Girls cruise" with 10 of us. Had a fabulous time. No time for a formal review but here are some highlights: * Enjoyed the food and had great wait staff in the MDR. * Bummed that the pool wait staff no longer carried around a bottle of rum to "top" off your drinks... still loved our pool wait staff. * 3 of the 10 of us brought either rum runners or mini bottles - all made it to the cabin just fine. (Lest you fear the three of us raised the price of your cruise - we still racked up at least $100 each in bar bills with those irresistable frozen drinks) * Several had flat irons (straighteners) - all were brought on and used just fine. * Have to swipe your sea pass to get beach towels and are told you will get charged $20 if one is not returned. We returned all of them but one of us still had a $20 charge on their final bill. Line in the morning at Guest Services was way to long to be able to remedy before we had to leave for our flight. * Disembarking was WAY more organized (and humane!) than when we went last year. No more lines snaking up the stairs to the 6th or 7th deck and the Windjammer is opened until 8:30am on disembarkation day. * The Quest was by far the most entertaining thing we did... absolutely hysterical... although perhaps our team coming in 1st place has me a bit biased! :) * Saw (or chose not to see) the same ABBA/70s show as last year... would like a new show. * Pool party/buffet was very fun - less food than I remember in the past but that was totally fine as what they had was good and more was not necessary. The party on the deck lasted past 2am. Overall, we can't wait to go again next year!
