jdiatz Posted May 18, 2010 #1 Share Posted May 18, 2010 Hi! I am going to Antigua next week on a cruise. Carlisle Bay looks amazing in pictures. Has anyone been and would you recommend it or no? The pictures look like its enclosed like an actual bay, but I believe it is open to the Caribbean sea (in other words you'd look out to open water and not trees). Also, is there snorkleing and bars there? Thanks!!

Karysa Posted May 20, 2010 #5 Share Posted May 20, 2010 I went to this beautiful beach in March of 2007. We pulled into a small laneway and parked 25 feet from the beach. There is a beach resort further down the beach to the left. I have heard that the snorkeling to the left by the rocks is decent for Antigua. No facilities when we were there for people that were not staying at the resort. The sand was soft and the water incredibly clear and calm and a lovely turquois color. It was my favorite beach in Antigua and I have visited Halfmoon, Long, Dickinson, Runaway and Jolly among others.
