I can't decide what to do...

We're trying to figure out what excursion to do in Grand Cayman. It's just my husband and I and we'll be on the Inspiration in August.

The options are:

Stingray City Sandbar & Rum Point Beach Safari

Snorkel at the world famous Stingray Sandbar and have some fun-in-the-sun at Rum Point Beach.

On this excursion you will:

Take a short ride along beautiful Seven Mile Beach Road from the pier to your awaiting boat.

Sit back and relax for a 30 minute ride to the world famous sandbar.

Enter the waist deep water to interact with the stingrays.

Board your vessel and head to Rum Point Beach.

Enjoy the beach, or take a dip in the crystal clear water.

Spend approximately 1 ½ hours at the beach before the journey back to your ship.

Note: Snorkel equipment is included. Complimentary fruit punch, lemonada and water are available on board the vessel.

OR

The Seven Mile Beach Break w/ Transport

Feel your cares melt away under the Caribbean sun in Grand Cayman’s Sea Grape Beach.

On this excursion you will:

Be met and transported – by your guide -- to the beach.

Be greeted with a refreshing welcome drink and your very own lounge chair.

Walk the beach, go for a swim, bask in the sun, or sample the food and drinks at the nearby beach bar and grill.

Board your bus for transportation back to your ship.

Note: Water sports rentals available on site. Food and drinks are available at the guest’s expense.

OR

Tiki - Beach - 7 Mile Beach Getaway

On This Excursion You Will:

Board your bus at the pier for the transfer to Seven Mile Beach where you’ll be welcomed by a striking tiki bar and the mesmerizing Caribbean Sea.

Relax in your lounge chair or explore the amazing reef located just off the beach.

If you choose, kayaks, beach floats, and snorkel gear are available for rent at the Watersports Centre.

A full bar with specialty cocktails and a la carte restaurant are available, at an additional cost.

OR

Turtles, Turtles & More Turtles

Learning has never been so much fun as you experience the history, flora and fauna of the Cayman Islands at Boatswain’s Beach.

On this excursion you will:

Have access to the island’s premier attraction featuring two swimming lagoons, a predator tank, the world famous Cayman Turtle Farm, a beach, nature trail, free flight aviary, a Caymanian street, restaurants and a gift shop.

Swim and snorkel with fish and other marine life in the 1.3 million gallon saltwater lagoon.

Peer into the Predator Tank and come nose to nose with sharks, turtles, and other exotic fish.

Splash around at Breaker’s Lagoon and interact with marine life at the Touch Pool.

See the magnificent Green Sea Turtles, ranging from hatchlings to 600 pounds.

Have the opportunity to hold one of the yearlings.

Wander through the aviary and nature trail.

Discover the lively birds, indigenous Blue Iguanas, and many species of colorful butterflies.

Take a stroll down Cayman Street and watch as local artisans perform their various trades.

See rope making, thatching, ‘ole’ time cooking and much more.

Enjoy the local cuisine at Schooners Bar & Grill or visit the snack shack for a quick bite.

Visit the 3,500 square foot gift shop if you would like to take a little of Boatswain’s Beach home.

Note: Changing rooms are available and snorkel gear is provided at no additional cost. A swimsuit, beach towel and sunscreen are recommended.

Any recommendations??? Thanks.

I agree re stingrays and Rum Point. [You can also book this on your own through Nativeway.]

Those beach excursions are easy to do on your own. Just get a cab and go - or even the public bus. If you want "toys" or chairs/umbrellas, the cab driver would be able to drop you off near establishments that have those [sea Grape Beach, e.g.].

Just returned for a stop at Grand Cayman.

We purchased day passes ($10 each) at the Marriott Resort on Seven Mile Beach - use of their facilities which were excellent.

Parasailing & jet skis were also available through Red Sail.

Took the public bus over - taxi back to the pier.
