ChaylaT Posted May 23, 2010 #1 Share Posted May 23, 2010 We are taking a Sunny Liston tour in July. They drop you off at either Sapphire, Coki, or Megan's Beach. Which would be best for kids who like to jet-ski with their parents, boogy board, and snorkel in walkable shallow water?
GinDon Posted May 24, 2010 #2 Share Posted May 24, 2010 Coki has amazing snorkeling, right from shore, and they also have water toys for rent, and parasailing.
mister exec Posted May 24, 2010 #3 Share Posted May 24, 2010 Megans is beautiful, but poor snorkeling.
The Islander Posted May 28, 2010 #4 Share Posted May 28, 2010 Sapphire is a nice beach: jet-skis are available at the marina a short walk from the beach. Good snorkeling on either side of the bay, nice variety overall, good near shore but for the better snorkeling you do have to swim out to deeper water. Usually calm to mild waves so sometimes you can boogy board. Coki has good snorkeling in shallow water, not a lot of variety but very easy for beginners due to proximity from shore (plus folks have gotten into the habit of feeding the fish so they come around - not a good idea since feeding fish human food and dog food isn't good for their digestive system and overall health). There are jet-skis across the road from the beach, short walk. Super calm so not much boogy boarding. Here is a video of the beach: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D7zAPNE3mMQ. Magens is a beautiful beach, you could rent paddle boats, rent a small sail boat but no motorized stuff like jet skis. Also its sandy bottom so not much to see snorkeling. Also usually very calm so no boogy boarding with the exception of January when Magens usually gets some wave action. --Islander
