pub and beach tour

Has anyone participated in this tour. We were looking at the message board and didn't see anything posted for this excursion. Any thoughts................

Are you talking about the Barbados Beach Bar & Pub Hop? I took this excursion on my 2003 Adventure OTS Southern Caribbean cruise.

We loaded up on a mini bus with 10 other people. I guess it wasn't a popular excursion that time around. We had a 'guide' who spoke about the landscape on our drive around the island. We stopped at 3 bars. At each bar we were allowed 2 free drinks, but our choices were limited to local brews and select mixed drinks. 2 of the 3 bars weren't crowded and were 'hole in the wall' type places. Unfortunately it started to downpour in the middle of our tour. The last bar was an outside bar, so we did get wet trying to hide under the bar umbrellas.

 

Overall, I'd give the tour a C+. It wasn't as FUN and exciting as the tour description stated. And the bars weren't really all that great. Plus, it was our last port on the cruise itinerary. So, we were kinda beat.

Thanks for the reply Leigh. I am sure the rain dampened your spirits, I know that mine would be. Did you get an opportunity to see a lot of the island on this excursion? My wife and I enjoy having a good time and we do enjoy seeing some of the areas that aren't as populated. Could it have been a fun time if rain wasn't a factor? Thanks for the tips.:)
