jblbcl Posted May 25, 2010 #1 Share Posted May 25, 2010 Hello, We're going to Alaska on our first cruise and are on the Direct to Wilderness Tour on the Coral. Our itinerary shows us leaving Whittier at 8:30 PM and we have second seating in the MDR. When will the muster drill be scheduled and will our dinner be affected? Thanks for the information for us newbies.
ggprincess2004 Posted May 25, 2010 #2 Share Posted May 25, 2010 We have sailed out of Whittier before, and muster was generally in the range of 7:30. All the information you need concerning the time of the muster drill, and what to do about fixed seating dining will be in the Princess Patter that will be waiting for you in your stateroom when you board. Sometimes all dining is open seating on the first night, sometimes the muster is scheduled so that the fixed seating dining is able to proceed smoothly. Chances are you will be complete muster, take your life jackets back to your stateroom and proceed to the fixed seating dining room. The problem is, different ships and crews handle things slightly differently, so it is hard to say exactly. But, those questions will certainly be addressed in the Patter when you board. Have a fantastic time - bon voyage!:D
