Familiar with Liverpool Port Please!

We will be arriving this July and have friends driving down from Warrington to fetch us by car. We want to tell them where to meet us at the port but don't know a place to tell them. Will someone please help us with something specific and if they can actually drive into the disembarkation port area?

The cruise terminal we used was around Bootle at Langton Cruise Terminal.
